Chaos Bloom Indie Group Content Policy

I understand that by performing at Chaos Bloom I agree to keep my content to the top of my integrity. If the house manager feels that content is inappropriate at anytime during a performance they will pull lights. If our staff witnesses problematic behavior, on or off stage, we have two approaches depending on the content. Initially groups will be “called in” to discuss intentions and reasons why the content can be viewed as problematic. If we can see that a group or performer has cognitive negative intentions the lights will be pulled immediately and the group will not be invited to perform again. Our goal is to assume good intentions until proven otherwise. This means we prefer to call people in but will not tolerate hate speech of any kind.

We understand that every group has different boundaries and that each group dynamic is different. Group mind and trust is something we love to see but groups must remember that is built over time. If you’re involved in a Jam please respect everyone's physical boundaries and remember trust has not been established with these folx. Have fun, get weird, and create comedy.

This policy is in place so groups understand how we will approach any issues with content that we see on stage. Everything will be handled as a case by case basis and given our full attention.

Chaos Bloom Student Policy

Safety and Sexual Harassment

The Chaos Bloom Theater is an all inclusive theater, we take student and performer safety very seriously.  We will not tolerate any blatant discrimination, harassment, or violence of any kind, on or off-stage.  We encourage students and performers to play to the top of their intelligence.  As a result, we have a 1 strike policy against non-malicious but unnecessary content related to racism, discrimination or harassment of any kind.  Your classmates are your friends and your ensemble so treat them with kindness and care.  It’s much easier to lift someone up then it is to push them down.

If you ever feel uncomfortable or threatened in any way, please report it to your instructor. If you do not feel comfortable reporting it to your instructor, please report it to Amey Goerlich, our training center director, co-creative director and co-owner of the Theater (amey@chaosbloom.com) she will respond to the incident in a timely and serious manner.  Ultimately we want you to feel safe and have fun so we take all questions, comments and inquiries very seriously and we will have your back.  You can also email a third party that is not an owner at feedback@chaosbloom.com (Please Be Cool Everyone!)
