Clown Level 2: Building the World

Prerequisite: Completion of Clown Level 1 or approval from either instructor 

Now that you’ve met your clown, it’s time to build them a world and give them something to offer the audience. In this four-week course, we’ll expand on the foundations of Level 1 and devise new work using clown logic, status dynamics and emotional heightening. You’ll develop a workshopped piece that’s deeply personal, delightfully strange and built for the stage. This class is for performers ready to make bold, new work that connects, surprises and gives back. Clown is for the people, so let’s build something worth sharing together.
